When I first launched The Capable Bride, it wasn’t with the intention of creating a whole ecosystem of businesses. I just wanted to solve the problems I saw over and over again while helping couples plan their weddings: logistical overwhelm, unrealistic timelines, and cultural nuances that were often overlooked.

But as my work grew, so did the gaps I saw in the industry. Couples weren’t just stressed about planning, they were hungry for better food at their weddings and meaningful vendor connections that didn’t feel like a game of Instagram roulette. So, I did what any capable creative would do: I built what was missing.
Wedding M.D. is where it all started. It’s the brand where I offer wedding planning and coordination services that blend empathy, cultural fluency, and serious project management chops. If you want your wedding to be joyful and run on time? That’s where we come in.
Taste Buds Required came next. After years of seeing mediocre catering at otherwise beautiful weddings, I decided it was time to elevate Caribbean cuisine and put flavor back on the menu. Now, we cater events with unforgettable bites that reflect our roots and still fit seamlessly into black-tie settings.
The Vendor Lab is the newest of the three. It’s a coaching and systems hub built for the vendors who keep this industry running but are often overwhelmed by the business side of things. I know what it’s like to wear all the hats, so I created TVL to help creatives build more sustainable businesses.
The Capable Bride is the umbrella that connects it all: not just a planning brand, but a philosophy. It’s about making the complex feel doable, beautiful, and meaningful. If you want to see how that shows up in different ways, I invite you to explore:
